Gerhard Siegl, born in Innsbruck in 1975, studied History and chosen subjects (Media and Humanities, Contemporary History, International Politics, Economic and Social History) at the University of Innsbruck.
Since 2001 he has been working as a historian in the Tyrol, South Tyrol and Vorarlberg, first of all on a free-lance basis as well as in project collaborations. In 2008 he started a position as university assistant in Innsbruck (research, teaching, administration).
In 2016 he was one of the co-founders of Heidegger, Hilber und Siegl. Die HISTORIKERinnen.
Two daughters, born 2009 and 2012.
